Mello Marine Staff

Mike and I have been in the boat business for many years. Mike and I found each other through the love of watertskiing. We were both tournament waterskiers and spent most of our days skiing.  

We knew we wanted to open a boat dealership and in 2009 we took the leap. We love boating so much and want to share this love with the world. In 2012, Mike had a stroke and our world changed, but our dream never wavered. I am also an avid stand up paddle boarder. I guess anything that has to do with water is my game!

Mike Mello and his family have been in the Water sports industry since 1969,They opened the first waterski shop in the Bay Area, Mellos ski shop. This is what sparked Mike to run his own shop one day. Waterskiing runs through Mike Mellos blood! Mike was a 4 time All American, National Champion and Professional Waterski jumper by the time he was 18. Later in his career, he was in the Movie Water World with Kevin Costner. In 2009, Mike and Sally decided to take a leap of faith and open Mello Marine. 

Hi my name is Bobby, I am a Sales Associate and the IT Manager at Mello Marine. I have been at Mello Marine for a little over a year now. I love boating and have been around boats forever. It all started when I was a kid at around 2, I got strapped to some skiis and was told "You got this" and was thrown into the water. From that day on, I have loved being on a boat! I am the owners son, but I work as hard as possible to earn my postiton at our amazing family business. I enjoy every second that I have worked here and can't wait for many more years ahead!

My name is Ricky Mello! I have been working at Mello Marine since 2017. I started as a detailer and eventually worked my way up to detail manager and then to service manager. I am working alongside my brother Bobby, who is one of our salesman and previously worked with my other brother Mikey in the service department. This is a great example of how we center our company around FAMILY! Not just our family but all of those we get the priviledge to give an experience that will last a lifetime. I live here on the property and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I am flexible with early, late, and closed hours operations. I enjoy the experience of meeting so many new people and watching their boating dreams come true. 

What’s happening! My name is Payam Moakhar and I am the Sales Manager here at Mello Marine! I first started working for Mike & Sally back in 2018 as a detailer for a Summer job when i was a sophomore in high school. After a few years, Sally & Mike took a big chance on me and put me in a sales position at 19 years old. Now at age 22, I am the Sales Manager at Mello Marine and love every minute of it. The most rewarding part of my job without a doubt has to be bringing smiles to the faces of families everyday! 

I have been with Mello Marine for over a year. I started off in the service and parts deparment and made my way up to Pro Shop Adviser/Social Media creator. I truly love it here at Mello Marine, they treat me like family. My goal is to create incredible content for Mello Marine and to show customers what we are all about. 

Hi, my name is Pat Young, I am the accountant here at Mello Marine. My job is to keep track of our company finances and take care of any problems in this position that may arise. The reason I chose Mello Marine is the interesting company and the terriffic boats. 

Hi my name is Richard Johnson. I am the Detail Supervisor for Mello Marine. I have a 20+ year background in marine detailing. My favorite part of working at Mello Marine is the family environment. In my free time I am avid gold miner. 

Hi my name is Rachel Kammerer. I work at the Front Desk. Mello Marine is a great place to work because I get to learn new things, meet new people, and we are like a family. On my free time, I enjoy taking hikes with my dog, trying new foods, and spending time with family. 

Hi my name is Josh Kraft. I have worked at Mello Marine for over 2 years. I am a tech in the service department, wrapping, servicing, and running boats at the lake. My main goal is to make sure all of our boats are in tip top condition. My favorite part of working here is being in a fun and exciting work environment with awesome co workers! And being able to rip all the new boats at the lake too! In my free time, I love to go Off roading in my Jeep Cherokee. I allso love taking my Wellcraft out on the lake and go on nature hikes.  

Hi, my name is Mykel, I work as a Service Tech here at Mello Marine. I am 30 years old. Served 10 years in the U.S. Army. where I trained in every 91 series MOS.

My name is Arian Castillo, I am a detailer here at Mello Marine. I have been with Mello Marine for a year. The best part about working here is getting to see the newest boats.
